Black Box: What's It

Black Box - In an aircraft black box contained a term that became a tool (component) key in order to investigate a plane crash. Because in the black box (black box) that there is good data recorded during the flight the flight data (eg, speed, height, tilt, position, etc.) at a certain time or data such as voice recording in the cockpit (pilot and aural warning sounds or other sounds like explosion).

According to what I know, the black box refers to the two main components of the FDR (flight data recorder) and CVR (cockpit voice recorder). Although known as a black box which translates into a black box, but the fact that both of these components orange. Consideration is to clarify the orange color of the object display when searching manually (visually).

As the plane clash (eg due to a fall or other accident), the FDR and CVR will emit a signal (ping) for some time that can be captured by the radar at a certain frequency. It aims to facilitate the search considering the importance of this tool for the investigation. The seeker must compete quickly with time when the search tool is therefore transmitted signal has a time limit.

Even so valuable both these components, placing it on the plane were taken into account in the safest place during an impact.
